Jonathan S. Donham, by Louis H. Everts (1836-1924), author of History of Clermont County, Ohio, published in 1880.  It is unknown by me if the illustrations such as this one were by Everts himself or by an uncredited artist, but this particular portrait was most likely based on a photo from the early 1850s since Jonathan S. Donham lived from 1786-1856.
 
He was the son of Nathaniel Donham Jr. & Keziah Crosley, and he was my 5-greats-granduncle through his brother Abel Donham (1777-1853), my 4-greats-granduncle through his brother William Donham (1784-1849), and my half-4-greats-granduncle through his half-brother John Donham (1767-1856).  The middle initial S. stood for Singleton, although the ancestral family name whence it came was actually Singletary.  Jonathan S. Donham's great-great-grandfather was Jonathan Singletary (1640-1724) who was the direct ancestor of President Barack H. Obama (1961-).
