This Santa Claus is painted on a wood cutout to be hung up as a Christmas decoration.  It was done by Walter G. Suggs Jr., probably in the 1950s to early 1960s.  At one time, there was a similar Frosty the Snowman painted wood decoration, but it was apparently damaged and discarded.
