Though the precise date that this artwork was created is unknown, it is the 14 November 1906 wedding portrait of Walter Graham Suggs Sr. (1868-1937) and Sarah Edna McDonald (1888-1937) in Eureka, Juab County, Utah.  The artist enlarged a photograph and hand-tinted it with watercolor, gouache, or pastel and made it into a convex shape for the glass frame.
 
Decades ago, the original artwork got crushed and severely torn, but it was restored in 2023 by Gawain Weaver Art Conservation and put into a new convex frame.
